I'm looking forward to Christmas!
I don't celebrate Halloween, but I had fun at Halloween Dinner with Friends.
Next month is Melbourne cup day when the horses race, I don't really watch or participate in this either.
I'm excited for Christmas because I love Christmas, I love getting presents like clothes from Santa.
My brother puts up the Christmas tree, and I get to help decorate it with the balls and tinsel. I put a star and an angel on top.
I like Christmas food, I like the meat, vegetables and desserts.
I love when umbrella has a Christmas party. I love when we go to the Myer windows we go on the train to get there and all our friends come!

I can’t wait to go to Hawaii this year or next year, anyway, for Christmas with my family. Maybe we’ll go to the Hard Rock Hotel and get a jacket. It’ll be my first time at the Hard Rock Hotel. I haven’t touched it yet, but I will touch it in my life. There will be beautiful beaches, maybe clean water, and the weather will be good outside.

Today’s blog topic is what we are looking forward to for the rest of the year.

One of my favourite activities to do each week is go to the movies. I am looking forward to more movies coming out this year that I can’t wait to see. Some movies that are coming out that I would like to see are Wildwood, Hexed, Jumanji, Angry Birds 3, The Cat in the Hat, and Zac Power.
I’m excited for my end of year dance concert so I can show my family my new moves. I go to class every Thursday, so it’s nice when all the dances come together.
Coming up soon is Halloween! I love getting to dress up and looking at all the scary decorations at people’s houses. It’s so cool. I enjoy dressing up as a princess in a pretty dress with a tiara on my head.

My favourite holiday of the year is Christmas. I love it because I get presents, spend time with family, and eat yummy food. I hope to get some new clothes, jewellery, and a holiday because they’re my favourite.
On Christmas Day, I’m looking forward to eating pork, lamb, veggies, and desserts. YUM. Christmas Eve is also a fun day where I watch the fireworks and drink bubbles.

This is Claire signing off. See you next week.

The topic today is all about what I am looking forward to from now until Christmas.
The months are moving fast, and I am running out of time, with Halloween happening at the end of October and a few days after that is the Melbourne Cup.
The best time of the year for me is Christmas.

We have family gatherings on Christmas Day, and my brother, Jordan, now has a baby girl called Eden, who will be 3 months old by then, so it will be a very special Christmas with all the family.
I can’t wait for the summer months where I can swim in my pool with lots of suntan lotion on. It’s the best time of the year.
Well, my friends, enjoy the next few months, and I will do another blog for you next week with a new topic.

Signing off now,

Nick

Oh, how time flies! Soon, October will come to an end. For this blog, we are writing about what we are looking forward to for the rest of 2026.

On Friday, 16 October, my family and I will have a big day. My cousin is getting married! It seems like only yesterday we were playing board games and watching children’s movies together. Now, she is a mature young lady.

I must dress to impress. I cannot wear my usual jumper and plain black pants because that is not the dress code, but that is okay. Special occasions do not happen every day, and people say it is good to wear a dress sometimes.

I am not a big fan of attending wedding parties because I prefer casual outings. However, it is a privilege to attend a wedding, and I am sure I will have an amazing time. There will be lots of people. I get shy when there are lots of new people around, but my support worker said that is normal.

My brother will be wearing a tuxedo. I know girls can wear suits or tuxedos too, but Mum wants me to wear a dress for special occasions. Do any of my female readers love wearing dresses, or do you prefer jumpers and pants?

My grandma is also coming to Australia. If I am not mistaken, she will leave Indonesia on Halloween and arrive on 1 November.

The house will be a bit busier because there will be five people at home, plus our two cats. The cats can be full of energy! Dad also has two cockatiels, but they stay in their cages.

I am looking forward to when Grandma unpacks her suitcases. I ordered some summer pyjamas, but they are long pyjamas. You might think it is too hot to wear long pyjamas in summer, but I like them because they feel cosy. I do not like wearing singlets and shorts to bed in summer.

Grandma showed me the pyjama designs during a video call last week to check whether I liked them. I have strong preferences when it comes to clothing styles. I really love pyjamas with animated designs.

We might go out to a dessert place, such as Pancake Parlour or San Churro. My brother returned to Australia this year, and he has not been to those places for ages. Grandma has not seen my brother in a long time either. The last time they saw each other was during Grandma’s birthday.

I am not sure what we will do while Grandma is here. I am sure we will enjoy some fun outings together. I love having a calm and peaceful home, but it is also nice when Grandma visits.

She is a very helpful lady. She even fixed the loose waistband on my trousers so I could wear them again!

Grandma is an amazing cook, although she mostly cooks Indonesian meals rather than Western food. My dad can cook both Western and Indonesian food.

I hope this year’s summer will be crisp and cool, without too many heatwaves. However, we cannot control the weather, so we will just have to wait and see!

Thanks for reading my blog. I hope you have something to look forward to for the rest of the year. It does not have to be a big event. It can be something little, too!

This is Happy Jacinda signing off. Bye!

Dear Readers,

This week’s topic is: What are we looking forward to for the rest of the year?
Let me start by telling you about what I’m looking forward to for the rest of the year.

I’m looking forward to going to the HELLO Media red carpet. I’m looking forward to Halloween, which is coming soon. I’m looking forward to summer, which means hotter days and swimming in our pool, but it also means I can eat ice cream.

I’m looking forward to Starbucks bringing out their Christmas drinks and food, which is happening next month, and my support worker, Martina, and I are feeling really excited about it. I’m also feeling happy and excited to start my early Christmas shopping next month.

Readers, I have a question: What are you looking forward to for the rest of the year, and why?
Please let us know in the comments below.

Every year seems to go quicker and quicker as we get older. I feel like I was just at the start of the year, and then I blinked and it was October. I suppose this is just how it goes once you’re not a kid anymore. Time feels like it slips by you, and by the time you notice, you’re at the year’s end. It’s not that time is going faster, we just get busier and lose track of time in the process. I’m sure there is actual science behind it, but that’s for another blog.

Here’s something to think about, though: What are you looking forward to now that we are nearing the end of the year? I challenge you, our wonderful readers, to think about it. You don’t have to have an answer, but just sit with it, and maybe you will surprise yourself with what you come up with.

Now, for me, I am grateful that I have many things to look forward to next year: the release of Delta Goodrem’s album Pure, seeing Delta Goodrem on tour in Melbourne, the multiple Disney movies set to come out, the Shrek 5 movie, seeing The Lion King musical in Melbourne, and there’s probably many more things yet to come too.

For the end of this year, it’s smaller and simpler: flowers blooming, summer coming, adventures with my people, wearing dresses, and just enjoying the sunshine. I’m just looking forward to the moments that make my heart happy, to be honest. I think I mostly look forward to the things that I can do and experience in nicer weather. I’m very grateful for all the seasons we have, but I look forward to sunshine and blue skies.

I hope that you, our readers, have something you are looking forward to and something that makes your heart happy. If you feel like sharing in the comments, please do.

Your friend always,

Shan.

Dear readers,

How are you?

Today’s topic is what to look forward to from now until Christmas.

I look forward to the sun being out. I am seeing Guy Sebastian next month, and I am so looking forward to Christmas. Why? Because Santa comes at night, and we have roast chicken, mashed potatoes, veggies, gravy, and Yorkshire puddings. We put up a Christmas tree and decorate it. We sometimes put an angel on top of the tree, but this year we are putting a star on top with my brother and sister. We also get presents, and my birthday is the month after, so I get lots of presents.

I also look forward to Halloween. Why? Because I go trick or treating, knocking on people’s doors saying, “Trick or treat!” I get lollies and get to dress up. It’s so fun, and I really enjoy it. I like Halloween, and I can’t wait.

My outfit that I wore to Dinner with Friends was a lavender purple dress with little white smiling ghosts with black bows, stars, flowers, big smiling ghosts with black bows, and tombstones along the bottom of my dress. I wore it with beige ankle strap court shoes.

Thank you for reading my blog.

This is Stylist Beth signing off until next week.

It’s October. That means there are only 2 months left of 2026. Crazy, I know, right?
I don’t really have much I’m looking forward to within the next 2 months.
But I know the last 10 months have been like a rollercoaster for me.

In saying that, I guess I’m just going to take each day as it comes, looking for little glimmers wherever I go.
Looking forward to things doesn’t always have to be a big event or even a little event. So for me, it’ll be the glimmers, or even just a steady path that I will unveil, with only small obstacles in my way that I can overcome. But knowing my luck, life will throw things at me left and right. But that’s okay. I’m used to it.

Again, maybe I’m just looking forward to all the little glimmers and obstacles that I will overcome.
Sorry it’s a short blog from me today, but hopefully you can all look forward to the little or big glimmers you see for the rest of 2026.

Haley.

I am looking forward to doing the markets again for Down Syndrome through Step Up again this year.
I am also looking forward to going to W.A. probably next year. It hasn’t been organised yet, but that will probably happen next year too.

I’m also looking forward to Christmas because I get to organise my Christmas cards for my friends and their presents. I sometimes go over to my sister’s house for Christmas, and I’m looking forward to that.
I also do thank you cards for all my friends if they give me presents in return.
