We have so much to share and by saying “we” I mean everybody! If we think about our lives and how much we have achieved and experienced, we could blog forever!!
This week our talented bloggers will enlighten you with something that they would like to share from their past, present or, something they look forward to in the future… In the future I may get my own house and own car so it’s part of my life. Maybe even a future wife. Everything is fine with me and we need save up our money to make us cool down and relax. – TJ A day to remember - The wedding of my older sister Lisa to Bob on the 10th of August 2010 at a lovely resort in Thailand. My whole family were in Thailand for the wedding even my Nana with her broken arm. A few days before, the wedding we had a Hens Day for Lisa, which was a lot of fun. The morning of the BIG DAY the girls gathered for breakfast before getting ready. Our dresses had been purchased in Melbourne and were a beautiful blue colour. My younger sister Sarah, my cousin Bec and myself were the bridesmaids. Our hair and makeup were done for us at the resort. It was a lot of fun and lots of laughter. Lisa looked stunning in her beautiful white dress and so did the bridesmaids! When it was time for the wedding it began to rain so we had to move inside. We had a baby elephant walk her down the aisle, it was adorable. The wedding service was amazing and so beautiful. We had to have photos inside due to the weather but it didn’t spoil it. The reception was in the resort and we partied all night. It was the most romantic day and I will never forget it. It was a honour to be a part of the big day. Have you been a part of wedding? What is Thailand known for in history? Thailand and its jungles, mountains, islands, Thailand is a Southeast Asian country. It's known for tropical beaches. - Jess C What will our world look like in the future? Hello Friends, Our world will always be changing and evolving, and we can never be 100% sure of what the future will bring. Our future world is currently left to our imaginations, world leaders will make promises for the future, scientist's will make calculations and research for the future world and children will grow to be the future. Now I'm going to jump into my opinions and beliefs here. All my opinions and beliefs are my own and meant always in the kindest way possible, now that’s said let’s get into it. I believe everything that we do in the present will affect the world in the future. This is part of the reason why it's so important to be conscience of our attitudes and actions towards looking after our home. You can't change the past however we can change the path we take in the future. So, we look at what we are doing, look at the person in the mirror, ask “how can I do better?” and change the way we are doing things. I think EVERYONE including myself can always do better. I’d like to leave this world better than I when I found it (obviously I didn’t discover earth I'm just saying). We need to remember that this is what we will pass on to the next generations, so let's not turn this planet into a dumpster fire because that’s just a little bit rude. I don’t believe that I will have children because I don’t want them (side note: when people say this, they are not offering you a challenge). I do like to think of the children of others who will inherit this world from us, I want them to have the best, most amazing experiences this life has to offer which includes a peaceful, clean, safe, welcoming and hospitable world. So basically, I hope that our future will be a positive and bright one, that we find ways to solve conflicts in a slightly more peaceful way and become a kinder, more considerate world. Thank you for reading my blog, I hope you have an amazing day and remember you are loved. Your friend Shan. Hello my sensational and wonderful readers! My name is Angelina and today I’m going to talk about ONE special day to remember. Remembrance Day is actually very important because we remember all the Air force, Navy and Army heroes who have fought in wars for many years for our nation. At school we wore poppies and we had to purchase the poppies. The money raised goes to the RSL to help returned service men and women. Although we didn’t have a service at 11am a memorial service is held and people remember fallen soldiers. The last post is played and a minute of silence. These services are held all over the country but generally at the RSL Cenotaph. People wear poppies to remember those who have died or suffered in wars and conflicts. There are not only red poppies which are called the Flanders poppy, but there are other colours for e.g. purple is for the animals, white is for the nurses and the black poppy represents all those who have died during the war or after. How do you feel about Remembrance Day? Have you ever attended a service? LEST WE FORGET – Angelina The Future You may have heard the term past, present, and the future. See you soon – Gypsy Last week I went on my first holiday without my family and it was so good. I am proud of myself. I handled it all so well. Each night I facetimed my family which made it much easier. I took Jeff ( the Umbrella bear) for a journey and boy did he have a great time. We caught taxis to all our venues it was so easy. We had vouchers to help reduce the price. We went to all the theme parks, Movie World, Sea World, Wet and Wild Dreamworld. The first time we went to Movie World we rode the Joker pink roller coasters, Superman ride, Green lantern ride and I did a ride which scared me a tiny bit, it shoots up fast and it’s so much fun. Jeff did a carousel ride for the first time and loved it. The next day we went to Wet and Wild which is a waterpark. Waterparks are so fun especially on the hot days. The weather was perfect on the Gold Coast. We did all the waterslides even one called Mammoth Falls it was so cool, I rode the ride backwards a couple of times. My friend and I then had a rest day as we were going to the footy. We played mini golf a couple of times and uno the card game, it was a very relaxing day. Saturday Night we went to Heritage Stadium it was Gold Coast Suns girls vs Sydney Swans girls playing. We were sitting with the Senior Swans men’s players James Rowbottom, Callum Mills, Tom Hickey and many more. We were spotted on TV a couple of times during the game, it was good to see so many people supporting both teams. The Swans took home the win and were playing their first final series this year. The next day we went to Sea world, it was better than I expected. I did a wooden roller coaster called Leviathan it was so good and it’s fast I also did the Storm Coaster roller coaster that you get wet when you go down into a cave. The queues were not too bad during the day. We even saw some pelicans as we walked in the area they are kept in. I saw my favourite animals which are polar bears, I even got a keyring it is so cute and have glitter on it. We even check out Nickelodeon land where there are loads of kids rides and we saw the Teenage Ninja Turtles while we were there and they did some cool poses. On Monday I went to Dreamworld which is a great park especially if you find crowds overwhelming on that day it was so quiet when we went on the rides and it was that’s the best feeling. We did the steel taipan roller caster a couple of times. It was a great and I even did a motorbike ride it was fast me and my friend did a different pose on each rides. I got a photo with holding a koala which is a great memory to have, we also rode the vintage cars, and even did this ride called the claw that swings forward and back it was cool. My friend finished with the giant drop this one I was too scared to do but at least I have done it once. On Tuesday we did all the rides we did on the first time again we even did wild west falls four times as the lines was short we watched the all-star parade where all the characters come out like Scooby doo, the Looney Tunes characters, Joker, Batman, the DC superheroes and Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. As you can see this was a great experience I would love to do it again Jeff loved sitting on my lap during the planes rides we watched loads of movies on the plane like Annie and into the woods. They were also listening to music too. - Scarlett
