What is my favourite animal and why?
My favourite animal is a cow. A cow goes moo. I liked the cows I saw at the farm with Sheridan and Alice. We saw Highland cows. They have big horns and look soft and fluffy. I like when the cows have baby cows. They are called calves. Baby Highland cows do not have horns. They have to grow them. I just like the cows. I also like deer. I like them because they have antlers too. I think the antlers look cool. I like animals. I like my dog. His name is Suess. He takes care of me. He always says hi to me by licking me. He plays with toys. I like going to the farm to see the animals. I fed the animals. I also see kangaroos at Lysterfield Lake. Bye from Ronalda. My favourite animal is my pet dog. Her name is Bella, but I like to call her Bella Boo. Today she was a bit naughty and she did a poo on the floor in my room. She does that sometimes, and it’s stinky. I don’t like when she does that because I need to clean it up myself, which is yuck and smelly. She’s also naughty when I’m leaving home and tries to get in the car with me. She even tries to get into my support workers’ cars. I love my Bella Boo. She is a great dog. She likes baths, walks, treats, pats, licking my nose, belly rubs, and most of all, she loves me. My dad feeds Bella small cans of food that she likes, and water. Sometimes we play fetch together and play with her toys as well. Bella Boo is so cute. I was so happy when my mum brought her home. I came home from dancing and she was there. She was licking my neck, and we instantly became best friends. I also have bees at home, which are also my pets, but I don’t know all their names. They make honey for me, and it’s delicious. This is Claire signing off. See you next week. I don’t have any pets at the moment, but I used to have a cat named Bucks, and I’m going to get another one soon, which my mum will name. She hasn’t told me what it is yet. I liked Bucks. He was my grandad’s cat, who we got when he moved into a nursing home. He was black and white and a bit chunky. Bucks hated being picked up, as he wasn’t used to it because my grandpa couldn’t pick him up. I also used to have a dog as a pet named Ollie, who was a golden brown poodle. He was cheeky and fun. If it was a hot day, he would go into the pool, even though he was scared of it because when he was a puppy, he accidentally fell in and went straight to the bottom. When I put him in the pool, he would just get out as he didn’t like it. When Ollie was wet, he would dry himself against the hedges and the couch. My favourite animals are dogs, and I hope to get another one day. This is Nick signing off. See you next week. What is my favourite animal? I really like fish. I think fish are cute and colourful. I do not have a pet fish at home because having a pet fish can be hard work. When you go away, you need someone to look after it. I remember having a goldfish in an aquarium when I was in Jakarta. At my grandpa’s nursing home, there was also a fish aquarium, and I liked looking at the fish. I also saw heaps of koi fish when I went to Indonesia. I saw some at my resort in Ubud. They were located in the reception area. I also saw more fish at Ayodya Resort because it is a spacious resort. I saw colourful fish in aquariums as well as koi fish. I even fed koi fish when I went to Central Java. This was at an open air restaurant. Do you like open air restaurants? Open air restaurants can be nice, but insects such as flies and mosquitoes can fly through. I actually have pets at home too, but I am not very fond of pets like some people are. People say, “Oh, having pets is good. You can play with them when you are bored.” However, I disagree because pets are a lot of work. If they get sick, they need to go to the vet. You also need to clean up after them, feed them, and find someone to look after them if you go away. That does not mean I am a lazy person. Taking care of pets is simply not my thing. My dad has two cockatiels at home. He looks after them and sometimes puts their cages outside when it is a nice day. One is called Banjo, and one is called Cutie. Mum named Cutie. They are in separate cages. Dad has had the cockatiels since before COVID, and they are doing really well. If we go away, my mum’s friend takes care of them. In August, something changed in our household. My brother returned home from Japan, and he was very keen to have his own pets. He convinced my parents that he wanted pets. At the beginning, my parents said it would be hard because when we go away, we need someone to take care of them. However, my brother was still keen to have pets. My brother went to the RSPCA to adopt two cats. We decided to name them Kaya and Raya. Kaya is a grey cat, and Raya is a white cat. My brother is responsible so far. He plays with the cats, feeds them, and cleans up after them. The poo is very smelly, and I do not like it, but that is part of having pets. My brother has not got a regular activity yet, so he has more time to hang out with the cats. The two cats like hanging out in the rumpus room. However, my parents now close the rumpus room during the daytime because I heard that if Raya, the white cat, gets too much sun, she can develop skin problems. The rumpus room has sunny spots coming through the window. It is a big change having cats at home. The cats are adorable, but taking care of pets is not my thing. I would rather do other chores. Even though I am not a big fan of pets, I love going to the zoo. I enjoy looking at various animals. I love the Safari Park in Indonesia because it is very big and has many facilities too. It was memorable when my parents took my brother and me there. Thanks for reading my blog. This is Strong Minded Jacinda signing off. My favourite animals, who we can keep as pets, are cats. I’ve got two. Banshee, who I adopted from a shelter about 10 years ago, and then there’s Maggie, who we got from my cousin. Her grandma and mum are still alive. I think Banshee and Maggie like one another. They get along for the most part. When Maggie was little, she had no fear. She would chase Banshee, and she would wrap herself around the cat post and spin really fast. Today would be a different story. I think she would bend the cat post and tip it over. Now for my favourite non pet animals. I do have a fair few, so bear with me. My number one spot would have to be equal with owls and sloths. Did you know sloths are slower than a snail? They also poop once a week. I think my favourite breed of owl would be a barn owl or a tawny owl. Second place would be my spirit animal, a big clumsy panda. I could watch them all day. They’re so funny. Third spot is a pink fairy armadillo. They’re the smallest species of armadillo. Fourth place would have to be a water bear, also known as a tardigrade. They look ugly, but in a cute way. They’re a microscopic animal. Last place would have to be raccoons. They’re also hilarious, just the way they are. My most memorable mentions are: Otters because they hold hands, so they don’t drift away from each other. Highland cows because they’re just beautiful. Penguins because the males give the females a rock if they like them. Crows and ravens. I think that’s about it. Haley. The problem with this topic is I have multiple favourite animals. Choosing only one feels like I’m leaving the others out, and as strange as it may sound to say, or in this case write, this, sometimes I feel a bit guilty choosing one favourite. I just love all my creature friends and think they’re all pretty awesome. Now that I’ve put that out into the universe, I can now write this blog for you guys. I have chosen an animal that many people may not be a fan of, and that’s okay with me as long as you’re still kind to them. Pigeons have my heart, with their little waddle and their cute little faces. I love seeing them, and if I have the chance to, I like to watch them going about their day and just doing pigeon things. I love that they mate for life, and I imagine that they are very dedicated and attentive to their life partners. Did you know that they produce milk for their babies? Both female and male pigeons produce it in their necks, and it’s called crop milk. They also helped us out in past wars. I believe in the First and Second World Wars, though I found conflicting information in my fact checking, so it may have only been the First World War. They carried messages for us when other modes of communication failed. They are very good at navigating, possibly using the Earth’s magnetic fields, the sun, and or landmarks to find their way. It’s not known 100 percent how they navigate, but that doesn’t matter to me. I think it’s amazing, and I’m proud of them for their efforts. There are so many awesome reasons to love pigeons, and they are very cute, I think, so I’m really happy that I got to share this with you, our beautiful readers. Thank you, and as always, be kind to others and yourself. Your friend, Shan Dear readers, This week’s topic is my favourite animal. Let me start by telling you how I don’t have a favourite animal. However, I could write a long list of animals I do like and love. Animals I love and like are dolphins, horses, dogs, tigers, snow leopards, bunnies, butterflies, sea turtles, and red pandas. What do I think of all these animals? I think they are all cute and cool, and I really like them. One of my favourite Disney animals of all time is Bambi. My family and I own a cute, but sometimes naughty, French Bulldog. She is eight years old, and her name is Gucci. She is very lazy and sleeps twenty four seven, and she’s very spoiled and loved. What’s your favourite animal? Written by Charlotte. Hi readers, how are you? Today’s topic is, “What are your favourite animals?” I have chosen to write about my favourite animals, which are cats, dogs, horses, dolphins, rabbits, otters, and penguins, but I really like snow leopards. Why? Because snow leopards are cute and mysterious. Did you know they chew on their tails? They can’t roar. They are known for being playful and acting a bit clumsy or goofy. They are shy and calm. Cats are cute and fluffy and like to meow at anything. You can pat them and pick them up. They like to sleep. They can help with emotions. I like dogs because they know when you are sad. They are cute, you can hug them, and take them for walks. I like horses because you can ride them, love them, trot them, train them, and do competitions. I like dolphins because they are friendly, highly intelligent, playful, and love to be very social. I like rabbits because you can hold them, pat them, feed them, and play with them. I like otters because they can hold your hand, stay together so they don’t float away, and are fun to watch. I like penguins because they are friendly and cute, and I like the way they waddle instead of walking. They are curious and like to slide. Thank you for reading my blog. I hope you enjoyed reading and learning about my favourite animals. This is the Animal Queen, Beth, signing off until next week. What is my favourite animal? My favourite animal is cats and dogs. I like The Royal Melbourne Show because they have animals too. My friend’s dog is so cute. Ben.
