“HELLOW” from The Bridgewater Centre!
Today we are anxious. By the time you read this blog we will have settled into our new space however at the time of writing, we are feeling all the feels. Change can be hard, but it can also be exciting! That’s the way I’m taking it. You see this day for Umbrella Support is a big one. We have moved into a new community centre and are starting our new media program. This meant that our super bloggers had to adapt to the change of moving to a new community centre and for some of us, it was a little like butterflies in our tummies. By morning tea time we were all feeling a little more settled and were blogging away. So, enjoy our blogs which today talk about “A DAY IN THE LIFE”…Cindy It's blog day and I'm writing about what happens on the day of my life for everything and hanging out with my friend. Krystle is the one who hangs out with me, but I wish would take her to a movie. Cindy is my mate. We love her so much and have fun then Jessy is really good at cooking. I made a video and send to Cindy on my phone when she is busy. I like to play games on my laptop and do RadioVoice with Daz, Cindy and Beth . We had so much fun. I always have some fun with my beautiful friends but one more thing, I love to hang out with my mate Delia. At Delia's house we did Buldak 2x hot spicy Raman and only me finish the bowl but not too spicy for me. I have to be on the time to get there Umbrella in the morning – TJ Hi, my readers today's blog is about packing for the Blues Festival, here is what I will need and how that day would look like. On that day mum will wake me up before she leaves for work. Then I will have my music up for an hour and start making something to eat for lunch, I will start to pack for Blues Festival, I will need clothes, toiletries, my Nike air forces, jumpers, a pillow and blanket I will also need to charge my headphones as I will be listening to music the whole car ride. It is held in Echuca, Moama. I will be going with my mum, and we will be staying at her best friend's house for the weekend. We are staying there Friday until the Sunday. I feel happy to go because I will be shopping most of the time, eating delicious food, and spending time with family and friends. The Winter Blues festival is a wonderful event that people from all states will attend and listen to great music. Thank you for reading my blog this week Alannah What does your day look like? Hello Friends, Have you ever wondered what a day in the life of a dog would look like? Wonder no more! Today I will be talking about what a day in the life of Chopper would look like, for those who don’t know Chopper is my sister’s American Staffy. He is a 100% good boy (even when he isn’t) and I absolutely love him to the ends of the earth. His day starts all warm and cozy in bed, possibly wrapped up like a burrito and with just his nose sticking out. He lives like he is king of the world, because all dogs should. He then gets up to greet everyone that's in the house with a Boop and some happy circles, like a good family member. He will then demand to be let out for toilet time and an inspection of the backyard. It’s extremely important to him that he be let back in to either check out the house and do all the sniffing or find a cozy spot for a nap. Morning Walkies are an important part of Chop’s day as he needs at least two walkies a day so that he doesn’t turn into the flash and turn the house upside-down. He has a great red harness and an assortment of jackets, oodies and a fancy jumper/cardigan for his colder day walkies. He does enjoy a good Snifari (sniffing safari), so walkies can be a stop and start affair. After walkies he has some outside time until around four o’clock (sometimes he gets in earlier though) when he comes inside. Outside time is when Chop will have a series of naps, he might also play with his toys and try to catch leaves, bugs or his own shadow if he’s feeling it. He has many choices of outdoor napping spots, though I believe he might be solar powered, so you’ll mostly find him napping in the sun. Four o’clock he comes inside booping people as he comes in and finds a good spot for his inside nap, until he thinks its dinner time and then stands at the back door staring at people with a pouting look because he wants to be fed an hour or so early. Dinner is outdoor dining and Chop must shake hands, do a double high-five and a boop kiss before dinner. He is a well-mannered boy when it comes to dinner. He then waits for night time walkies so he can go check out the smells of the night. Around eight o’clock he comes in to in theory wind down for bedtime, it's not always like that but he does make it his job to add some fun and spice to our lives and we absolutely love it! He does settle into bed for the night when it’s bedtime and everyone comes in to say goodnight to him every night because as I said he is treated like a king! What does your pet family members day look like? Have a wonderful day my friends! Your friend Shan The journey to buy our home continues. Let’s start with how my Monday went, well it was meant to be a simple day “signing the contract” but it was not when we arrived at the conveyancer’s office we discovered my name was not on the document! I felt so angry / annoyed as we had told the agent it was to be in both names. We looked over the contract and saw that without a pest inspection the sale could not go ahead, so we now have to organise the inspection, which fingers crossed will happen in the next week. We have learnt from this, now we have a check list of what we need to do and see how things are Hopefully in the next few week we will be home owners!! Apart from the contract drama we had to deal with the rain. It was so heavy we could hardly see the traffic ahead of us, so we stopped at Maccas. It was a long drive home and I was exhausted and confused but proud I had got through but without the support of my mum and mother in law (Rob’s mum), I would not have. I am so grateful to them both. And also, my family and friends support. Have you ever experienced this when buying your new home. Love from Jess My dog has just had knee patella crucial ligament surgery two weeks ago on the 5th July. While he was in surgery the vet rang me and told me that they have found a mass in his leg and asked me for the go ahead to take out the mass. In that moment I assumed the worst and I instantly told the vet to take out the mass in his leg, I didn’t think about any extra cost because all I cared about was that Prince was going to ok. When I picked up Prince he was very sore and he cried a lot because he was in pain. I made sure to give him plenty of cuddles and made sure he was warm with lots of blankets. He is very stubborn when it comes time to his medication so I had to cook some mince pork and put his medication in the mince so he takes his medications. On Wednesday last week Prince took off his bandage and my support worker and I had to take him back to the vet. He now has a bigger cone because he could still get to his stitches. The really good news is that Prince has his stitches out tomorrow and my Prince is doing really well, and my Prince is a long hair Chihuahua. He is not good at being patient but who is, and even though Chihuahuas are stubborn and feisty I still really love Chihuahuas and I really love my Prince. Prince looks really funny and very cute with his cone but he doesn’t like his cone very much but he is doing really well with his cone and today is the last day of having the cone on because it is coming off tomorrow. Thank God for that, because I miss when I cuddle his little face, I miss the feeling of his fur on the side of my face. It was a very emotional, stressful time but I am getting there. Thank you everyone, Gipsy. Hi friends, welcome back! Today’s topic is a day in the life of Beth.Let me explain to you for those who don’t know I did RadioVoice on Monday after Handmade. Cindy takes cheeky monkey TJ and I to Daz’s studio. Once we arrive there we get started by putting headphones on and bringing the microphones right up to our mouths, we talk about different topics. Daz does the introductions, he does the music and the recording of Disability Matters every Thursday night. It goes on-air and you can listen to it on The Buzzz at 6:00pm. Don’t worry if you miss out you can listen to it on mix cloud, it is so much fun. When I first started I was very anxious and very shy and not very confident. But the more you practice the more comfortable you will be at it. You need to prepare yourself, there is always someone there to help you. When I started, Cindy helped me by being gentle, calm and with a couple of time doing radio I was so confident. I enjoy it so much now that looking back there was nothing to worry about. If you are anxious about anything, like starting something new for the first time, as time passes you will become more and more confident with each try. Thank you for reading my blog my dear friends signing off your beautiful friend Bethany. Welcome back to our cozy little corner of the internet, my dear lovely readers. Today, I'm going to discuss how Miss Suki-pants spent her day of life. Hey, guys! Do you still recall our lovable furball, Suki La La? Woof Woof! The quote of the day “We don’t have a great day, we make it a great day!” Each morning, she rises up at around seven and begins her day by either going to the bathroom or lounging in bed until she's ready to go outside. Once back inside, she either retreats to her bedroom with her favourite owner, my mum, or plays with the owner whose jumpers/hoodies she enjoys eating. She plays with her doggy toy daily and chases our cats around the house, almost causing them to die. It can be quite entertaining until it becomes too intense. I think she plays too big for our cat friends. She also takes a few naps throughout the day to recharge. Next week on Thursday, Miss Puppy Pants will be going on a holiday where she'll meet new people and some other dogs while we're away at a festival for a couple of days. Unfortunately, this means I won't be able to blog during that time. Not to worry! Thanks you for reading my blog See ya next time, and also have a great day.. Kathryn
