Welcome to our monthly Choose Your Own Adventure blog!
Once a month, we put the usual topic aside and give our writers complete creative freedom. This is their chance to write about anything they like whether it’s a personal experience, a fictional story, a hobby, a favourite memory, or something that’s been on their mind.
Every blog in this collection is unique, giving you a glimpse into the different interests, ideas, and personalities of our amazing writers. We hope you enjoy reading this month’s adventures and maybe even discover something new along the way!!

Today's blog is a choose your own adventure and today I'm going to talk about dancing. I do dancing every Thursday night and my support worker picks me up from home and takes me , and then we have dinner after. I love my dancing classes and learning all my new moves, I have lots of fun and I like the music. I have friends at dancing and sometimes someone new people will join and we will also become friends. I love dancing whenever I can, especially at dinner with friends. Elvis was at morning melodies and I loved dancing to his music, he sang to me and I made him scones. I have lots of fun and have a great time with music and dancing. Dancing makes me happy and I will keep on dancing forever.
This is Princess Claire signing off, see you next week.

I was sick for two weeks oh Lord, but this week I feel better. I am more careful with my body and I’m happy for myself to be back to you all.   Thank you everyguys for the balloon, this week is good to have me back as I missed you all.   I wish Daz could take me to movie night soon to watch scary movies with popcorn and drink with my bro. I am tired to wake up in the morning this week at 6am everyday.
TJ.

Today's blog topic is a choose you own adventure and I have written about six awesome adventures.
Adventure 1: Walking through a forest and you find a magical glowing door. Do you open the door or do you keep walking? I'd keep walking! I don't want to open the door in case something scary is behind it!
Adventure 2: You’re at the beach, and find a mysterious bottle in the sand. Do you read the note inside? Or throw it back in the ocean? I would throw it back into the ocean, because I don't want to read it.
Adventure 3: A friendly dinosaur walks over to you, would you feed it or pat it? I would pat it!
Adventure 4: You go to an ice cream shop, do you get Chocolate or Rainbow ice cream, l'd get rainbow ice cream because I like it.
Adventure 5: You arrive at a train station, do you get on the train or do you wave to the people on the train goodbye? I would hop on the train and tell it to take me to the beach.
Adventure 6: You go to the movies to watch Frozen, Elsa invites you to build a snowman or to explore Elsa's ice palace? I would build a snowman with Elsa.
Goodbye from Ronalda.

I have a very good friend called Allie in Western Australia who I would like to go and see. We would catch up and go out to dinner. After dinner we would go shopping and buy clothes and we would have a good time.

On the weekend I enjoyed making the romance film even though I find it so boring but we smashed it. Next week I’m going to make my movie and that will be amazing.
On Monday I finally finished off my animation the episode called Anger Management and it is going to be a very hilarious video as usual.
Tonight we watch Collingwood vs Geelong and I hope we won this time because we got eight on the ladder, Jordan De Goey, Maynard and Schultz got injured which sucks and they are all good players.
On Friday we are going to watch Melbourne Storm vs Bulldogs but this will be a very hard game tomorrow.
In July my mum and I went to see Garere the band, they are a good band that singer dude has a great deep voice and good scream mode and I was so knackered.
On 25th of August me and my mum will go to see Parkway Drive at the Forum in Melbourne they are an Aussie band and I can't wait.
Next year me, my mum, my dad, my brother and he's mates want to go see the System of the Down at Marvel Stadium is going to be good band but I’m not looking forward to Faith No More the support, I think they are going to be bad but still, I can't wait to see it.
This is Korey signing off and have an awesome day. Go Pies!

There are many things in life that just tickle my brain in the right way, meaning it brings me joy and makes me do a happy dance. I think it’s very important that we are able to have these moments and enjoy the feelings that come with them. However this blog is more about what doesn’t bring me joy.

Sometimes I think that it’s hard to talk about what doesn’t bring joy, because we are taught that we need to lift others up and always be happy. That can borderline being toxic positivity, which while intended to be helpful can actually be very unhelpful and harmful to mental health. I suppose toxic positivity doesn’t bring me joy, however I like to be helpful by educating people on it and giving them other example of what they can say.

Politics does not bring me any form of joy and most days makes me a bit anxious. I don’t believe I’m alone in this but that’s all I’ll say on that topic. My favourite products being discontinued doesn’t bring me joy, when I love something I love it forever and having to then find something similar takes time and effort. I’ve not yet recovered from sunnyboys being discontinued. There are now people in this world who has never even heard of a sunnyboy and that hurts my heart. They’re missing out on something awesome.
That’s just a small part of things that don’t bring me joy. What brings or doesn’t bring you joy? Would you share these with us? Comments are always welcome.
Your friend,
Shan.

My journey of working at Australia Post began in 2018.
I was already working at Woolworths because I started there in 2017. However, in May 2018, the staff at Woolworths told me that I was not needed for a while, so I stayed at home and attended an employment program. Then my employment coach contacted me and told me there was a seasonal job available at Australia Post Sprintpak.
My dad also travel trained me to catch the bus home from Australia Post Sprintpak. I practised many times and became more confident. I was very proud of myself. My mum even posted on Facebook that she was proud of me for travelling home from work by bus, and many people left kind comments.
The Australia Post job was a casual job, so when there was a lot of work, the boss would contact the employment agency and the agency would call me. If I missed the call, they would leave me a voice message. If there was no work available, I stayed at home.
During the pandemic, the company stayed open, but I did not get much work, so I spent most of my time at home and did not see many friends. The only social activity I had was working at Woolworths.
Then, in March 2021, something exciting happened. I was still a casual worker at Australia Post, but I joined Umbrella Support. She took me to different local places and introduced me to new activities.

I spoke to my supervisor about changing my work day because I already attended another program on Mondays. Thankfully, I was able to swap my work day to Friday. During that time, my week was very busy. I attended Umbrella Support on Monday and Tuesday, worked at Australia Post on Thursday and Friday, and worked at Woolworths on Wednesday.
My favourite job at Australia Post was inserting animated design stamps. I always enjoyed looking at the different stamp designs.
I also opened the lids on coin tubes. That job was simple because I only needed to remove the lids and place them into a cardboard box. I also counted stock sheets. I was good at counting, but I found it difficult to stack them neatly on the pallets. If they were not stacked properly, they could fall off when someone moved the pallet, so it was important to do it carefully.
Another job I did was putting labels on plastic pockets. I found that task a little challenging, but my supervisor still asked me to do it. She knew about my disability and always tried to make work enjoyable. Sometimes she would startle me as a joke. I do not like being startled, but I laughed it off. I have found it difficult to be assertive at times, but I am learning and growing.
When my Australia Post job finished in 2022, I focused on doing craft activities with my friends at Umbrella Support and continued working at Woolworths. The company was still open, but my work had come to an end. That is part of life. I have many wise people in my life, including my parents and Cindy. They taught me that sometimes we do not get what we want, and nothing lasts forever.
Krystle once said to me, "When one door closes, another door opens." To me, that means when one opportunity ends, another one begins. For me, one of those new opportunities was blogging. It has given me the chance to write about many different topics and express my thoughts.
Thanks for reading. Now you all know about my second job.
This is busy bee Jacinda signing off.

Dear readers, this week's topic is a choose your  adventure. Let me start by telling you about how I've been very under the weather this week, which is the reason I haven't been at work, to Umbrella  support or Hellow media this week. How have I been feeling?  I am bored but I have been watching tv, playing games, doing housework which had to be done, cooking, playing with my dog Gucci and resting. I miss my friends and I hope by the time you read this I'm back at  Umbrella.
Readers I have a question, what if you turned into a mermaid for a day and what would your mermaid tail and top look like?
If I was turned into mermaid for a day I think my mermaid tail and top would be purple and sparkly and I would swim around with all the dolphins and  be friends with all the sea creatures. I would be queen of the sea and host royal balls and parties and I would go to some other royal balls and look for treasure, and where would I live ? I would live in a mermaid cave. Thats it for now mermaid friends from mermaid queen Charlotte.

Hey readers how are you? Today’s topic is a choose your own adventure and I have chosen to write a made up story.
Once upon a time there was a mermaid named Olivia and she had mermaid friends I was wearing a special necklace and I had a mermaid dress on and I had a bracelet on. Then they came up to me and invited me to be a mermaid in the mermaid party. I said yes and asked if I can invite my friends and support workers please and they said yes so I asked Cindy, Krystle, Bernie and Chrissie, Steph, Sheridan and Chanel.
All of my friends would dress up in mermaid outfits and accessories and what fun we would have. We would play disney songs Under the Sea which was in the little mermaid movie and also beyond my wildest dreams also in the Mermaid movie.
On arrival, the guests would have the sounds of instrumental music playing ocean sounds and upbeat songs with lyrics that everyone could sing and dance to, with food and drinks and karaoke.
My friend gave everyone mermaid tails so we could swim in the pool and look like real mermaids. This would be the best party with all my friends and would be remembered for a long time.
Thank you for reading my blog let us know in the comments below my fishy friends we love to hear from you.
This is wishful Beth with sea shell wishes and mermaid kisses, goodbye for now, signing off until next week.
